My role is to provide legal support for numerous Finastra software products including consumer and commercial loan origination systems, core systems, internet banking, payments, loan servicing and cloud based fair lending products.My role includes regular research and analysis of changes in state and federal laws impacting financial institutions and service providers. I work closely with Product Management and Development stakeholders in order to implement critical changes to our product portfolio. I have significant expertise with federal and state laws impacting banks and credit unions including the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA). My role also includes products impacts driven by federal and state data privacy laws such as the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). I am a frequently speaker at industry events on a wide array of legal topics concerning the financial industry, and regularly author articles for internal and external publication.Finastra serves as a strategic financial technology (FinTech) partner and business facilitator to more than financial institutions of all sizes across 130 countries, including 48 of the top 50 banks globally.
