I am directing a team of data analysts and engineers to load, harmonise, derive and enrich Investment Banking (IB) trade and accounting data, across multiple asset classes, onto a strategic Finance big data platform: Finance One.This involves:• Data profiling of source data to understand how to transform upstream datasets to meet platform standards. • Definition and maintenance of the Logical Data Model and how logical elements are realised in the Physical Data Model. This is key to the construction of a Business Data Catalogue that underpins the Core Finance tenant of the platform.• Definition, implementation and testing of platform harmonisation, derivation and data quality control rules to homogenise disparate datasets into a consolidated, unified model.• Guiding and supporting stakeholders through integration and user acceptance testing phases of the deliveries.• Acting as champion for standards on modelling, SDLC, Agile practices, and Scrum Master on the team. As such this is a hybrid role encompassing project planning and stakeholder management as well as solutions design, development and testing (predominantly in SQL).
