A not for profit service enterprise providing workforce development services to over 6,500 people in southeast Georgia while placing over 1,300 job seekers into employment. Oversee and direct financial, information technology, and loss prevention functions for a service enterprise with combined revenues of $30 million and 800 employees, encompassing four business segments including a donated goods retail store chain, staffing services, contract services, and aerospace manufacturing. Provide leadership to a staff of three-direct and five-indirect reports, building a high-performing team to achieve agency goals. Implemented a more detailed and timely monthly financial reporting process through improved internal controls and granular understanding of operations. The financial report and commentary is distributed monthly to the Finance Committee. Engaged the Leadership Team in a more comprehensive budget process exercise linking strategic plan initiatives to annual operating plans and capital expenditures budget. Created a complete set of financial statements for presentation to the Board of Directors including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement along with key organizational metrics. Drive process and performance improvement by initiating a complete software system review across all business lines. The Board approved capital budget initiative will implement Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP and provide clarity of operational performance in manufacturing and integrate with the other business applications used by the organization. Introduce business intelligence software as an umbrella over applications to provide meaningful and timely metrics through dashboards and other means of reporting. Serve as key liaison to the financial community to present a risk management profile of operations as well as secure financing for ongoing operations and future growth.
