Chartered structural engineer with over 10 years experience leading technical design, analysis and upgrading of various structure types including offshore structures, long span bridges, and buildings. Specialisation in FEA analysis and the life extension and retrofitting of aging structures. I have led and completed civil and structural engineering tasks for public clients and contractors, including feasibility studies, bridge inspections, site supervision, drawings, 3D sketching, preliminary and detailed structural design. Depending on the client and project, I have completed concrete and steel structural assessments and designs to DMRB, ISO or Eurocode standards. I regularly use specialist software such as ABAQUS, LUSAS (including non-linear features), SuperSUITE, AutoCAD etc. as well as automation of tasks using Python and Excel VBA.
