BayoTech’s steam methane reformer modular reactors are a fraction of the size of the incumbent facilities and deliver world class performance, with greater efficiency and lower carbon emissions than legacy plants. We have done this by creating small, yet powerful, low cost modular reformers building on technology that was first developed by Sandia National Laboratory. By tapping into the existing network of natural gas pipelines, biogas and renewable natural gas sources, we move the production of hydrogen to where it is being used and that offers a lower carbon footprint. This eliminates the transport of hydrogen, which accounts for as much as 50% of the cost of hydrogen to the end user. We’re providing hydrogen consumers a powerful choice today across agricultural, fuel cell, and energy markets. Our goal is to make hydrogen more accessible and cost competitive by moving hydrogen production to on-site production as a first step.
