About Geoff Smith
After a 25-year career with Procter & Gamble, Geoff Smith took early-retirement in 2004 and founded LP Enterprises, LLC – a boutique consultancy focused on the strategic use of Information Technology to dramatically improve business results.Geoff remains personally committed to the advancement of the IT profession. He chairs the CIO Roundtable of Greater Cincinnati and founded the IT Leadership Forum. Since 2013, Geoff has been leading IT workforce development initiatives in collaboration with State, Federal, and Regional organizations (e.g, Ohio Governor\'s Office of Workforce Transformation, JobsOhio, DOL, and the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber of Commerce).Geoff is a founding Board Member of the INTERalliance (a non-profit collaborative that attracts top high school talent to the IT industry) and has served on academic Advisory Boards for University of Cincinnati, Xavier University, and Miami University.Additional non-profit service has included Board President of the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame, Advisory Board to the President of the National Baseball Hall of Fame inCooperstown, and Habitat for Humanity.Specialties: IT Strategy Development, CIO Peer Consulting/Mentoring, Business Strategy Consulting for small/ mid-size organizations and non-profits, and Technology-related Initiatives in the Sports Industry.
