ABOUT GEOFF STROUD
As a A-1 Operator at Freeport LNG, I am responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the liquefaction units, ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards. I have over nine months of experience in this role, applying my skills in LNG operations, process optimization, process control, and Microsoft Excel to monitor and troubleshoot the plant equipment and systems. Prior to joining Freeport LNG, I was a Senior Technologist and Technical Advisor at Olin Chlor Alkali Products, where I worked for over twelve years. In this position, I provided technical support and guidance to the chlorine production units, performed root cause analysis, and led process improvement projects. I also leveraged my expertise in chlorine technology, process engineering, and process safety to train and mentor new operators and technicians. My mission is to use my knowledge and experience in the chemical industry to contribute to the success and sustainability of the LNG sector.
