Manages the development and implementation policies for WTA’s Smart Bus Program.• Drafts and publicizes requests for proposals on consulting, technology, innovation, and manufacturing aspects of multi-million-dollar, public sector transit projects; accesses bids, negotiates budgets, contracts service providers, and oversees progress to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of goods. • Developed processes, drafted policies and procedures, managed requests for proposals, contracted providers, and directed installations and repairs for WTA’s Small Steps Fleet Video Upgrade Program, a $1.4 million project resulting in a sound and durable video system which increases security and provides valuable operations feedback.• Managed WTA’s Telephone Assessment Project (TAP), an endeavor leading to large cost reductions in telephone service and network documentation.• Collaborating with every department at WTA (and about 45 staff members), led WTA to its largest expansion of service in 10 years.• Analyzes and interprets manuals and contracts, as well as existing and proposed laws and legislation affecting transit from local to federal levels.• Coaches team to align their daily intentions with the company’s mission, put forth their best efforts, seek opportunities for growth in knowledge and experience, communicate professionally, gain confidence in skills and abilities, contribute ideas, and inspire fellow team members to consistently give their best.• Revises job descriptions, policies, procedures, etc; monitors employees’ work schedules and tasks; conducts performance evaluations, and improves satisfaction in management-labor relations via solution-focused communication. • Forecasts, plans, budgets, implements, and oversees management of public sector, long and short-term, transit technology and operations projects.• As a member of the ITS committee, develops WTA’s 2020 Plan to sustain technology while implementing new features as needed.
