Geoff is a Partner in Aon’s investment advisory business in London. He recently joined Aon from Mercer where he spent the last 16 years, most recently as a senior principal in the multinational client segment and as UK leader of the Global Pensions Management proposition.His focus is on the delivery of strategic investment, funding and risk management advice to UK and multinational corporate clients in respect of their pension plans and other asset pools. Geoff has extensive experience in the areas of investment strategy, asset allocation, pension risk transfer, asset-backed funding, risk budgeting and governance. He has worked with a number of regulated financial institutions and has a deep understanding of the implications of investment and risk management strategy for a regulated firm’s financial statements and regulatory capital position. He has also advised a number of firms in different parts of the energy sector on the advance funding and provision of financial assurance for their long-tailed decommissioning and remediation obligations.He is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and has a B.Sc (hons) from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa.
