Génesis Arlette Miranda Longo (formerly Miranda-Soto) is your go-to-market gal. Born in Sinaloa, Mexico, Génesis was raised in a family deeply rooted in the food and grocery industries–picking and selling dry beans as soon as she could walk. Her upbringing inspired her to pursue a degree in International Agriculture, Development, and Business at Cornell University, where she graduated with honors, secured a food marketing fellowship, and gained sales experience at companies like Kelloggs. Later, she transitioned into the tech industry, helping B2B SaaS companies enter and dominate new markets. With over a decade of experience, Génesis has received numerous accolades, such as Shopify\'s version of President\'s Club–Builder\'s Club, Next Gen Collective\'s 30 under 30, Austin\'s Top 50 Women Leaders, City of Phoenix\'s Most Outstanding Young Woman of the Year, and the National Hispanic Heritage Foundation\'s Youth Award in Business. She has also proudly represented Mexico at global food and trade conferences in countries like Turkey (alongside the President of Mexico), Russia, France, Canada, and the Nordics.Today, she is the Head of Industry Marketing at Shopify–operating as a field CMO for the enterprise go-to-market teams. Additionally, she is a skilled content creator and consultant, having worked with various CPG and fashion brands including, The Nudge (a city and restaurant guide app), Aerie (#AerieREAL), Express, and Adrianna Papell. Before Shopify, Génesis was the Director of Marketing for Retail, E-commerce, and Consumer Goods at Talkdesk.Committed to giving back, Génesis devotes her time outside of work to providing pro-bono marketing strategy consulting for minority-owned businesses, serving with her church, and volunteering with organizations like Casa Marianella. Passionate about promoting diversity in tech and higher education, she mentored students through L500, the Hispanic Scholars Fund (HSF), the Phoenix Union High School District, Cornell University, and Latinas in Tech.
