ABOUT GENESIS QU
As a data science intern at H&R Block, I apply my skills in PySpark, Azure Databricks, and other data science and engineering programs to analyze and visualize large-scale datasets, generate insights, and recommend decisions to stakeholders. I collaborate with a team of data scientists, engineers, and analysts to support data-driven decision-making and optimize business processes and outcomes. I am also a master\'s student in interdisciplinary data science at Duke University, where I learn and apply cutting-edge techniques and tools in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to solve complex and interdisciplinary problems. I have a strong interest and background in data, technology, and public policy, as demonstrated by my previous data fellowship at UCLA Latino Policy and Politics Initiative, where I conducted research and analysis on various policy issues affecting the Latino community. My goal is to leverage my data science and policy expertise to create positive social impact and advance the public good.
