As a Librarian I at Pima County Public Library, I design and lead innovative public programs with a focus on community engagement, digital literacy, and youth enrichment. From running immersive tabletop RPGs and 3D printing workshops to overseeing teen volunteer initiatives and gaming events, I strive to make the library a welcoming, inclusive hub for learning, creativity, and connection.I provide research and reference services, curate inclusive and relevant collections, and help align our services with both community needs and the library\'s strategic goals. I also train and supervise staff and volunteers, coordinate outreach to local schools and organizations, and advocate for equitable access to information and technology.With 10+ years of academic and public library experience—including roles at a major research university—I bring a lead-from-the-front approach rooted in collaboration, adaptability, and a strong service ethic. My work is driven by the belief that libraries are engines of empowerment, especially for youth, underserved groups, and lifelong learners.
