ABOUT GENE SHANTZ

M. Gene Shantz was a Detective Sergeant with the Flagstaff Police Department until Aug 2013 with extensive training in computer forensic investigations and is currently employed by Stroz Friedberg as a DFIR Vice President and was previously employed with IBM as a Emergency Response Analyst and Secureworks as a Senior Incident Response Consultant. M. Gene Shantz attended the IACIS (International Association of Computer Investigative Specialist) 2007 Florida Conference and successfully completed the CFCE process obtaining the coveted Certified Forensic Computer Examiner title. M. Gene Shantz is a member in good standing with the IACIS organization and is currently serving as the organizations President. M. Gene Shantz continues to serve as a volunteer staff member which includes coaching and mentoring of new IACIS members attempting to achieve the CFCE certification, and develops and instructs classroom material for both the basic and specialized training events. M.
