About Geneil White
Geneil seeks to apply her education, experience and passion with others by sharing an appreciation, evaluation, understanding, and enjoyment of the world around us. Born in Carson City over a century after Nevada obtained statehood, Geneil likes to think of herself as “Battle Born” like the Nevada State Motto itself. Nevada beginnings brought encouragement for pursuing her ambitions as well as a strong sense of cultural equity. Geneil graduated from Great Basin College in 2010 with a BAIPS in Arts and Humanities Administration, an education that provided interdisciplinary coursework designed to inspire strong leadership abilities, critical thinking, verbal and written communication skills. With many practical, hands-on opportunities for performing independent research and working on multiple team projects, Geneil excelled academically and carries this experience with her professionally. Geneil has worked with agency partners and stakeholders from around the world and all walks of life. Development responsibilities have included: preparation and monitoring of annual budget, program development and administration, fundraising, grant writing and reporting, event planning, registration, and oversight, marketing, public relations, editing publications, and managing membership sales and programs to advance organizational mission. Special skills: nonprofits, organizational vision, board relations, strategic planning, project and event management, fundraising, donor development, grants management, copy-writing and editing, collections management, audience engagement, and volunteer management.
