When I was an intern at the Sundance Film Festival for John Sloss, I had the opportunity to sit with John Sayles and ask him point blank: What\'s the best way to become a director?\"Become an editor,\" he said.\"You learn what you need and you see all the mistakes.\"So I did. I’m an artist and writer driven to create storytelling perfection and that means I\'ve done everything from edit, to camera work, to writing and producing.My repeat clients say the thing they love most about working with me is my depth and complexity, and that I unquestionably care. I care that your project is an innovation and new. I care that it’s got artistic merit. I care that it\'s on time and on budget. I care that you love it. I have a production studio in Skid Row, LA, where I house my production company, Girlfight Pictures. I find DTLA one of the most inspiring places I\'ve ever lived. I also spend a lot of time at home in Joshua Tree, California.
