   Gene Parente is president of Golf Laboratories, Inc. Mr. Parente started Golf Laboratories, Inc. in 1990 and has built it to become the premier independent testing company in the golf industry. In 1992 Mr. Parente designed and patented the Golf Laboratories Computer Controlled robot. The robot has since become the standard testing robot worldwide for the golf industry. There are currently 40 robots in the golf industry and are used by the major manufacturers, the USGA and the R&A. Mr. Parente has over 27 years of experience in design and sales, and operation of the robots and equipment testing. He also has developed independent testing methods used by the golf industry. Golf Laboratories has conducted testing for every major manufacturer in the golf industry. Mr. Parente and Golf Laboratories have been featured in media outlets including: Golf Digest (Hot List Testing and equipment testing), Golf Magazine (Equipment Testing), The Golf Channel (Equipment Testing) and others. Mr. Parente is an expert on technology in the golf industry. In 2016 Mr. Parente introduced LDRIC, a mobile version of the Golf Laboratories robot at the Phoenix Open. LDRIC was named as a playing editor for Golf Digest and will be used to provide data for instruction and equipment stories. Mr. Parente was named as one of golf’s futurists in the May 2016 edition of Golf Digest.
