About Gene Dalhoff

    Responsible for overseeing all strategic-related activities for the organization in the arena of education, workforce development and diversity, leveraging diversity assets and fostering communication among the private sector, education and workforce development communities. Also responsible for driving MadREP’s business retention and expansion efforts through partnership with other professional organizations, ensuring that the region’s database for people, place and prosperity information is maintained, and serving as the primary MadREP liaison with regional chambers of commerce, EDO’s and workforce development boards. Specific duties: • Establish and maintain professional business retention and expansion survey process; • Manage the collection of economic data throughout the region and maintain a dynamic dashboard of critical information on MadREP’s website; • Develop, lead and staff Business & Education Collaborative to engage the business community on workforce development issues with senior level K-12, tech school, university, and workforce development officials; • Maintain a regular schedule of contact with chamber of commerce, workforce development and education colleagues throughout the region; • Develop, lead and staff Leadership and Diversity Committee and associated activities; • Develop and implement a Diversity & Inclusion Survey for the region; • Work closely with the Urban League of Greater Madison on diversity issues including the annual summit and the region’s diversity progress report; • Supervise talent, education and diversity staff and share responsibility for supervision of data management staff; • Manage MadREP financial resources related to the Talent and Education Division; • Work closely with president and colleagues to enhance the MadREP brand and build trust in the region.
