I provide bespoke education and mental health interventions for children and adolescents chronically disengaged from education. My role is to engage, educate and empower to create a life worth living. No matter if they\'re 6 or 16, a boy, a girl, or somewhere in between — our blended approach puts the young person\'s needs at the centre of every intervention. I also carry out initial assessments to create a solid understanding of each child and their sensory profile. I carry out support reviews for my colleagues as well as being a buddy for new employees.

My best friends suicide happened when I was managing a beautiful photography studio and I had just returned from doing a shoot in Majorca. My life was pretty perfect and I was the happiest I had ever been. That phone call to tell me that Chris had taken his life changed everything. I lost my creativity and felt like I needed a drastic change. So I poured myself into a new career where I could make a difference, supporting adults with complex needs in an extremely challenging supported living service. I was promoted to assistant manager and although at times I was pushed to the limit of how many plates I could spin simultaneously, I thrived when connecting with people in crisis. Being able to help them in these moments gave me a sense of purpose like no other. Fast forward a few years to when I had my second child and I changed my focus to working in children\'s neurodiversity. I began working with Nudge Education to provide 1:1 bespoke interventions for children who are chronically disengaged from education before being promoted to Senior Practitioner. I have a particular interest in trauma and FASD, and I would ultimately like to help as many young people as possible to learn coping skills and manage their triggers. I also work with Strive for Education as a Teaching/Behaviour Support Assistant where I love supporting the children to build their self esteem through PE.
