Hi, I’m Gemma! I am an experienced multi-product fashion designer who loves creating authentically cool products that make people feel (and look) amazing. g••••••••@hotmail.com have varied international fashion industry experience spanning design; from interning in luxury ready-to-wear womenswear and menswear, to designing for high street market levels. I have worked with stretch and non stretch fabrics, confident creating and utilising prints and graphics to build well rounded, balanced commercial collections to create product assortments that feel truly special.Confident using Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, CLO, CAD and 3D design.Currently: Designer on the Speed to Market ASOS Design Womenswear Team at ASOS in London. Responsible for designing and curating the Denim and Knit short-lead collections. Most recent role prior to ASOS included- Designer for Dresses Products at H&M in Stockholm- Responsible for the Divided Collection Jersey Dresses Department- Researching & curating current and commercial trend driven visual goals- Applying colour, prints, fabrics & qualities, trims to execute creative ideas- Innovating & developing new on-trend “want” silhouettes through CAD’s- Creator of clear Adobe Suite Tech Packs for “right first time” samples- Daily technical fittings on live model with pattern cutters- Digital design fittings using 3D simulation software CLO- Commercial buying meetings with managers inc sign offs, re-works, trend and silhouette analysis- Working with License drops and creating capsules.USP: Driven, focused and ambitious - I work hard to secure \"right first time\" results. Naturally positive because being creative for a living is a dream come true! This means I never take my job for granted and bring my energy to every creative project. Authentically passionate about design; which makes pitching and explaining my work fun rather than scary.
