A partner in Konexo, a division of Eversheds Sutherland, which provides global alternative legal and compliance services to support in-house legal, compliance and HR functions with teams based in the UK, the US and Asia. Gemma has oversight and responsibility for the Konexo Real Estate team which is responsible for lender services, support for infrastructure and utility clients, mortgage portfolio sales and purchases, due diligence, document reviews, management of data rooms, and support for clients who need a team set up quickly to deal with a short-term project. Gemma is an active member of the Equity Release Council and the Conveyancing Association. She also provides regular client training. Examples of Gemma\'s work include- acting for the seller or buyer of mortgage portfolios and carrying out due diligence on the properties and charges before sale or purchase; property due diligence on mortgage portfolio sales or acquisitions and carrying out the transfers and registration of those sales - voluntary registration of property assets including freehold, leasehold or easements for utility and large land-owning companies or organisations - advising banks and other FCA regulated companies on their UK Finance Lenders Handbook requirements - advising lenders on their lending criteria, policy and legal processes - reviewing standard documents for lenders
