Work closely with the Controller to oversee and support North America accounting operations for 8 subsidiaries Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, overseeing 3 direct report Senior Accountants Review distribution agreements to develop Revenue Recognition and Order-To-Cash workflow processes for commercial product launches. Draft accounting memos based on IFRS 15 and ASC 606 guidance Manage Month/Quarter/Year-End Close review of Journal Entries, Balance Sheet reconciliations, Intercompany transactions, Sales and Gross-To-Net transactions Prepare monthly Financial Reporting package to parent company in Japan Manage Fixed Assets creation, depreciation and tracking. Review CIP assets to monitor timely transfer to live asset status in order to begin depreciation Participate as Subject Matter Expert in global accounting initiatives, including global treasury cash pooling and SAP S/4 Hana implementation (in process). Work with global counterparts based in Japan and EMEA Scope and execute Accounts Payable integration of acquired subsidiaries Manage annual audit review and annual tax preparation. Provide financials and PBC’s to external CPA tax consultants. Address audit inquiries and questionnaires required by parent company auditors in Japan Prepare Quarterly/Annual U.S. Census Bureau government survey reports Prepare Annual Business Property Tax 571-L reporting and manage Business Property Tax audit. Manage Annual Business Insurance Renewal (Product, Fiduciary, Auto, D&O, Cyber, Management liability coverages)
