ABOUT GEMMA ROBB
After graduating with an Undergraduate Degree in Festival & Event Management from Edinburgh Napier University, I gained professional work experience on Enterprise Rent-A-Car’s Graduate Programme before moving to London to pursue event roles.I decided to make the return to Edinburgh, as I knew I wanted to eventually settle in the city, and gained invaluable experience at ExecSpace before deciding I needed some more travel under my belt. I jetted off to Australia for what should have been a six week tour and a maximum of a years work and travel visa stay. However, due to the pandemic starting when I was over there, that turned into almost 3 years Down Under, working in some weird and wonderful jobs.I was finally able to return to my favourite city to complete a Masters in Creative Writing at Edinburgh Napier University, 7 years after graduating from my Undergrad, and worked in an Event Planner role with Radisson Hotels during my studies. I was then offered the opportunity to combine my Masters and extensive events knowledge in an Event Planner role with Waterstones Booksellers, before deciding to move back in to the hospitality industry as a Groups & Events Executive with Apex Hotels.Fast forward five years after leaving ExecSpace, I was offered the amazing opportunity to rejoin the team and I\'m happy to be back and here for all your event finding needs!
