I work at Next as a Hard goods designer within the homeware devision. I have worked across various areas including Kitchen, garden, home accessories including frames, clocks, vases, candle holders, sculptures, artificial floral, kids bedroom accessories and Christmas. Currently I\'m working within on the gifting team which covers events, stationary, Christmas and wall art.I am responsible for the design and development of product from from initial ideas to briefing. This includes leasing with factories in both the far east and Europe to help develop products and finishes required and communicating with colleagues within design and buying in order to build a cohesive range.I am also responsible for researching new trends within the homeware market proposing design trends from trade fairs, comp shopping, vintage, exhibitions, blogs & general across these categories to bring new and innovative ideas to the range.
