As Trusts and Grants Lead at Galloway’s, I’m responsible for securing vital funding to support people living with sight loss across Lancashire and Sefton. I identify and develop funding opportunities from charitable trusts, foundations, and statutory bodies, crafting compelling bids that align with our mission to empower blind and partially sighted people to live independently and confidently.Key responsibilities and achievements:Research and develop a strong pipeline of funding opportunities aligned with strategic priorities.Write persuasive grant applications and reports that clearly communicate impact and outcomes.Build and maintain positive relationships with funders, trusts, and foundations.Collaborate with colleagues across services, communications, and finance to develop accurate budgets and evidence-based proposals.Monitor funded projects to ensure compliance, reporting, and impact evaluation.Contributed to securing multi-year funding for core services and innovative community programmes.My role blends strategic development, partnership building, and storytelling — all focused on creating sustainable impact for people affected by sight loss.
