About Gemma Blain

I am a results-driven DEI leader with well-rounded knowledge in Human Resources coupled with Business Acumen that enables long-term cultural change within large highly matrixed global organizations. I have more than 10 years experience in the DEI space with increased technical knowledge and competencies in strat planning, talent management, learning & development, recruiting, employee resource groups, and inclusive program design. I currently sit on the Board of Directors as Secretary for the Asian Business Association of San Diego and am proud to serve my community as a Mayoral appointed Commissioner on the City of San Diego\'s Citizen\'s Equal Opportunity Commission. Born in San Diego, I graduated with dual degrees in Art History and Cultural Anthropology from UC Berkeley and completed my Master\'s Degree at National University in Public Administration emphasizing in Organizational Leadership and Development and Human Resources. I am also a proud USMC Wounded Warrior Spouse, mother, and a 2nd generation Filipina-American.
