I represent and collaborate with Forum for the Future as a trusted, former member of staff from from time to time. This started with setting-up the Living Grid in 2017: a collaborative, business-led project to make the UK\'s fossil-fuel oriented energy network more compatible with renewable energy. I co-produced and directed the foundational phase of the Living Grid, successfully leading a small team to develop the concept and strategy for the project, convening and confirming partnerships with six large businesses and securing funding for a longer-term programme to engage other large energy across the UK. After establishing the project, I handed its leadership to colleagues at Forum fo the Future. The first phase of work included collaborating with the Futures Centre to curate a digital conversation asking,\'\'What can our human energy system learn from the rest of life on Earth?\' and \'Nature is the original pioneer of a decentralised, decarbonised, democratic energy system, how can we take its lead?\'

ABOUT GEMMA ADAMS

I\'m a deeply skilled and experienced design strategist and systems change specialist, with seventeen years\' experience partnering with organisations on sustainability in the UK and internationally. I join in-house teams - or convene \'pop-up\' freelance teams - to support organisations to tackle big challenges with clarity and purpose. I enable groups to innovate in ways that navigate the complexities of our changing world, give expression to their values, nurture relationships and (re)vitalise our future. I lead, facilitate, coach and contribute research towards strategy development processes and the launch of new initiatives. To do this, I draw on a wide range of tools and approaches that include design and systems thinking, futures, Theory-U and systemic constellations. I am a certified Warm Data Lab Host. I work in partnership with organisations across sectors, mainly through trusted relationships and word-of-mouth recommendations. The list includes: philanthropic trusts and foundations, NGOs/ CSOs, social enterprises, universities, think tanks, central and local government, global corporations, consumer brands and industry associations.
