I have a broad range of experience specializing in the design, engineering, and forensic investigation of Plumbing and Fire Protection systems. I am involved in a full range of responsibilities including discipline leader, project manager, design engineer, and forensic engineer. My experience includes design, engineering, and investigation of plumbing and fire protection systems in laboratories, pharmaceuticals, commercial buildings, government, hotels, retail, residential, educational, institutional, casinos, arenas, municipal, light industries, data centers, telecom, and medical facilities. Projects include new structures, retrofits, and failures of existing systems. As a forensic engineer, I investigate building performance issues, investigate the cause and origin of system failures, review property loss claims, assess damage after a fire, explosion, earthquake, wind, water, and CAT events, and provide litigation support related to the failure of Plumbing and Fire Protection systems. As a Sr. Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer, my expertise includes the engineering of Sanitary Drainage, Storm Water, Domestic Water, Natural Gas, Purified Water, Medical Gas, Air, and Vacuum systems as well as Fire Standpipe, Fire Sprinkler, Fire Suppression Chemical or Gas systems, and perform Hydraulic Calculations. As a project manager, I lead and manage teams of design professionals, provide day-to-day management on all phases of the project, attend meetings, and coordinate with clients and the design team members. I keep and update time schedules & budgets, supervise the design, prepare & check the documents according to the building code & industry standards, QAQC, review cost estimates, bids & shop drawings, and perform construction administration activities.
