During my teacher training, I gained experience teaching in both EYFS and Key stage one. In these placements I was able to develop Systematic Synthetics Phonic knowledge, confident teaching ‘Letters and Sounds’ and ‘Read Write Inc.’ I was responsible for promoting good progress and outcomes by pupils, planning teaching which built on pupils’ capabilities and prior knowledge. I developed a secure knowledge of the relevant subjects and curriculum areas, planning well-structured lessons which promoted a love of learning. I engaged with assessment data to plan for the different abilities in the classroom and used a range of distinctive teaching approaches in my practice.
