Responsible for HV and 12V LV battery modules and packs design and release work • Develop battery component and system level DFMEA and DVP & R with validation team • Design battery components including busbars, isolation, enclosures, brackets, labels and generate 3D models and 2D drawings with Catia V6/3D experience • Perform incoming HV battery pack 3D and 2D check and provide improvement plan • Validate and improve casting and injection molding parts design by verifying mold design, mold flow analysis and providing DFM feedback • Identify fastener design including fasteners and inserts selection, torque strategy and sequence with fastener engineers and supplier • Define components GD & T including datum system, tolerance and design fixtures • Participate FEA and tests with CAE and testing team to meet functions and standards • Solve battery quality issues with suppliers including structures, busbars, and plastic brackets • Author of LV battery buildbook and implement hands on LV battery build for validation • Plant onsite support for Gamma vehicle build and generate instruction of HV pack de-crating, handling and installation process • Fabricate battery prototypes as needed and perform analysis, testing, and trial builds
