About Elvis Ge
I enjoy uncovering the needs of a community, the challenges of ideation, and the creation of an impactful product/service. I focus on people, through observation and conversations, and build diverse teams, unafraid to think outside the box, prioritizing value for the people. Ultimately, I take pride in building things used and enjoyed by others. Through this journey, I have been able to create amazing projects such as- A safe and supportive space for Asian/American youth to showcase their talents in the arts and media- Annual symposiums to increase awareness and discussion regarding social issues- A community utilizing art as a medium to spur conversations of difficult topics in Korea- An MBA lunch matchmaking service to build professional connections- An ergonomic snow removal tool to reduce strain from shoveling snow on and around a car- B2C search software to organize search results by user’s purpose and intent. With each new opportunity, I was lucky to live in multiple countries (China, South Korea, USA), learn about new industries, and expand my skillsets. These experiences showed that I can do the following: Turn an idea into a tangible product used/attended by hundreds of people- I excel at organizing big projects into manageable sprints- I align each team members’ growth and goals with the project- I enjoy getting things done, but team accomplishments trump my own Be comfortable with the unknown & uncomfortable- I reinforce big vision and strategy with user insights and data- I put in the time and effort to learn the multiple areas needed to make progress- I seek out different perspectives and suggestions for improvement I love to create value and positive change for society and am seeking opportunities in product or strategy.
