Open Heart Kitchen (OHK) is the largest prepared meal provider in the Tri-Valley region of the San Francisco Bay Area. Since 1995, we have served over 7 million nutritious meals—free of charge—to low-income families, seniors, unhoused individuals, and others facing food insecurity. We believe access to healthy food is a human right. OUR PROGRAMS-Community Meal Program: Free meals for anyone in need, available for dine-in or to-go-Senior Meal Program: Free meals for individuals age 60+, served in a social setting-Open Heart Refuge: An overnight shelter for adults, providing a safe place to rest 365 nights a year-Pop-Up Pantry: A free grocery distribution, supporting hundreds of local households-Open Heart Food Bank: The first food hub in the Tri-Valley, supporting not only our Pop-Up Pantry Program, but the grocery distribution efforts of our partners throughout the region. Powered by dedicated staff, volunteers, and community partnerships, OHK serves over meals annually and plays a central role in building a more equitable and compassionate food system in the Tri-Valley.
