Member of the core architectural team for Storage Automation Framework Engineering (SAFE), an automation product that facilitates the creation of DSL-powered workflows that enable the execution of Ansible playbooks and ETL Python scripts while making these workflows accessible via APIs. Outcomes and Improvements: Improved stability of deployment processes by enhancing existing Jenkins pipelines or developing new ones. Introduced autoscaling to the GKE infrastructure, drastically improving stability and expansion abilities. Introduced additional checks and scans to keep the product compliant with newer business requirements. Designed and developed Ansible collections containing modules that interface with APIs offered by SAFE but also with other services in the business, such as Hashicorp Vault (secrets management) and ServiceNow (Change and Incident Management), as dictated by product and customer requirements. Mentored and acted as an SME in the team, reinforcing team dynamics and supporting the team through some very difficult times. In conjunction with the Service Owner and the Development manager, organised the proper development of features by the development team, tackled bugs and managed critical incidents. Worked on establishing the necessary processes for onboarding HIgh Risk Countries to SAFE. Improved supportability by vendors by arranging service review meetings where issues and concerns were raised, discussed and resolved to maintain the appropriate levels of support and service.
