ABOUT GBEMISOLA OSADUA

I am an international trade and dispute resolution lawyer with over a decade of experience advising governments, institutions, and businesses on cross-border trade, investment, and regulatory strategy. As Lead Advisor at Dynamics Impact, I support clients in navigating complex international trade and investment frameworks, with expertise spanning arbitration, dispute settlement, intellectual property, and the digital economy. My work focuses on enabling market access, structuring cross-border transactions, and advising on policy and regulatory environments that shape international expansion. My broader work sits at the intersection of trade, technology, and development. I am particularly interested in the evolving architecture of the digital economy in Africa and the role of trade policy in advancing inclusive and sustainable growth. I have convened and contributed to high-level engagements with institutions including United Nations Trade and Developemnt (UNCTAD) and the World Trade Organization, advancing dialogue on digital innovation, e-commerce, and green trade pathways under the AfCFTA. I am currently a Doctoral Fellow at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society (BKC), Harvard University, under the Global Access in Action (GAiA) programme, and a Fellow of the Center for the Study of African Societies and Economies (CSASE). At BKC, my work engages with critical questions at the intersection of law and technology, including the ethics and governance of artificial intelligence, as well as issues of data privacy, cybersecurity, and digital regulation in emerging markets. I am also a PhD candidate at the University of Geneva, Switzerland, where my research focuses on digital trade, innovation policy, and regulatory approaches to e-commerce in Africa. My work is driven by a commitment to shaping practical, context-responsive legal and policy frameworks that support Africa’s economic transformation. Through research, advisory work, and multi-stakeholder engagement, I seek to contribute to building a more integrated, resilient, and inclusive digital trade ecosystem across the continent.
