Gbemi is a Revenue Recognition Manager at NCR Corporation\'s global headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. At NCR she is responsible for aiding in the firm implement the new ASC 606 accounting guidance and quantifying its impact to the firm as well as training employees on the guidance. In addition to this, Gbemi works with upper management and global sales CFOs as well the SOX and financial reporting teams at the firm to discuss the impact on the standard on the firm.Prior to NCR, Gbemi was an Audit Manager in KPMG’s Atlanta Audit practice. She has five years of prior work experience at Rothstein Kass, a mid-size accounting firm focused in providing financial statement audit and tax services for hedge funds and alternative investments. She was with KPMG for over three years and graduated from Rutgers with BSc degrees in Accounting and Finance.Gbemi has provided professional audit services to several large hedge funds and fund of funds entities which utilize a large array of strategies and structures; Master- feeder structures, Mini-master feeder structures and Stand-alone funds with Long-short, Global Macro and Arbitrage strategies, domiciled both in the USA and in the Cayman Islands. This experience has given Gbemi a large knowledge base when it comes to the auditing and valuation of various types of investment securities and derivative instruments including common stock, preferred stock, bonds, swaps, options, futures contracts, forwards contracts and private placements. She also has experience with valuation of level 1 and 2 securities using IDC, Bloomberg and Markit.Although Gbemi specializes in auditing alternative investment she also has experience auditing public clients (10K and 10Q) and clients in the manufacturing, banking, restaurant, banking, healthcare and software industries.
