About Garret Biss
Veterans deserve more than a simple “thank you for your service.” Veterans have given this country their best and deserve to experience its best in return—thriving careers, healthy families, and meaningful lives beyond their time in uniform.Yet for many, military transition often leads to disconnection, a loss of identity, and unrealized potential. Our nation depends on the continued contributions of its Veterans—and with that comes a responsibility to ensure veterans are supported, empowered, and equipped to thrive in this new chapter. is to redefine the veteran transition from a period of loss into a catalyst for growth—helping Veterans reclaim self-worth, translate military strengths, and succeed in their next mission. I don’t see brokenness; I see untapped potential hindered by military transition. Through the CAM Model™ (Connection, Authenticity, and Meaning), I address mental and emotional needs at the root. This strengths-based framework improves the efficacy of all support systems. Evidence-based practices delivered with compassion, through the lens of veteran culture and lived experience. Healing and growth accelerate when campuses, courts, clinics, and companies work together. & – I equip professionals with cultural insight and CAM-aligned tools that improve outcomes for Veterans in recovery- – I provide culturally fluent programs like V-WERT™ (Veteran Wellness, Empowerment & Resilience Training) to help Veterans reclaim identity, agency, and a renewed sense of direction. – I deliver strengths-based programs that foster belonging, purpose, and persistence on campus. & – I train leaders and veteran employees to boost engagement, retention, and performance?USMC Veteran & former Marine Corps Pilot • TEDx Speaker • Founder, Diamond Mind™ • Recovery leader and program developer focused on positive psychology and post-traumatic growth. —on campus, in care, in the courts, or at work—’.
