Innovative Young Minds (IYM) is designed to encourage young women to explore science, technology, engineering, mathematics and high-tech manufacturing (STEMM).Our goal is to inspire young women to consider careers they may not even know exist.Why just females? Currently women are significantly under-represented in the STEMM sector. Increasing female participation in STEMM will mean greater innovation and economic success for everyone. IYM Values. Accessibility: The IYM and Silicon Valley opportunity is accessible to all students Inclusivity – Students from any ethnicity, socio-economic background are welcomed Non-elitist – IYM is designed for students who are interested in STEMM but may need some encouragement and support in pursuing their goals.
