ABOUT GAYATRI ARYAN

A litigating lawyer, part time musician and a voracious learner by heart.After graduation in August 2015, I started working with Hon’ble Mr. Justice Rajiv Shakdher as a legal researcher. Research topics included mergers and acquisitions, financial commercial disputes, matters in miscellaneous civil writ petitions, constitutional law etc. In May 2016 I joined the chambers of Hon’ble Mr. Justice Jasmeet Singh, the then Central Government Standing Counsel and present sitting judge of the Hon’ble Delhi High Court. I worked with him for about two years doing general civil litigation ranging from Arbitration, famliy and property disputes, various civil litigation matters including matters of high national importance before Hon\'ble Delhi High Court. August 2018 onwards I worked with Neeti Niyaman and started my general policy and cotractual dispute practice. I practiced with Neeti for about 2 years 9 months pursuing and learning civil commercial litigation and Regulatory practice focussing heavily on the Power Sector. In May 2021, I started working with JSA, Disputes Team (Regulatory Sector). I am presently working under mentorship of Ms. Poonam Sengupta as a Senior Associate. I am currently working with acclaimed power sector companies in the fields of renewable energy, transmission, thermal power, oil and gas etc. on wide ranging commercial disputes. As a litigator I have appeared before various fora like the Hon\'ble High Courts of Delhi and Hyderabad, the Appellate Tribunal for Electricity, subordinate district courts including tribunals and various states electricity commissions.I am also fortunate to be a trained western classical pianist, deeply passionate about music. I have learnt from and taught at the Delhi School of Music. I have also taught at the Theme Music Institute.
