I’m Gayathri Mahadevan, a Microbiology graduate from Amity University, Noida, with a GPA of 3.4/4. Currently, I’m a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in collaboration with M.S. Ramaiah Hospital, Bangalore, investigating metabolic factors associated with aging under Dr. Deepak Kumar Saini.Previously, as a Project Assistant at IISc, under the supervision of Dr. Nikhil R Gandhasi, I researched Type 2 diabetes and cellular mechanisms involving Rab proteins and extracellular vesicles. My background also includes cancer cell research, animal handling, and notable projects like identifying Glutamicibacter arilaitensis in paddy fields.With experience in sample collection, mammalian cell culture, molecular biology techniques, and animal handling, I’m passionate about advancing scientific understanding and exploring innovative research.
