About Gavin Shearer
Gavin Shearer is the Assistant Director of Business Operations for the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Shearer oversees all aspects of business and accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, the general ledger, cash management, officiating payments, and expense management. In addition to working as the primary financial accountant for the ACC, Shearer assists in operational duties at the ACC Football Championship, Men\'s Basketball Tournament, and other Championship sports finals.Included under his purview are procurement, tax, external audit, budget management, financial planning, sponsorships, and future logistics as it relates to expansion.Prior to joining the ACC in 2023, Shearer worked at the NCAA as the Interim Assistant Director of Championships Finance and the Post Graduate Accounting and Finance Intern.Shearer is a proud alumnus of Ohio University, having earned his double bachelor\'s degree in Accounting and Business Analytics with a focus in Management Information Systems (MIS), while competing as a Division 1 Student Athlete on the Men\'s Cross Country, Indoor, and Outdoor Track and Field teams.
