About Gavin Shea

Business has been part of my story for as long as I can remember. When I was just 10 years old, I spent weekends helping my grandfather at J&J Meats. I didn’t know it at the time, but those early moments—loading inventory, greeting customers, watching how he built trust with every handshake—planted the seed that would grow into a lifelong passion for business, service, and connection.That experience taught me how meaningful it is to build something that lasts—and more importantly, to do it alongside others. Since then, I’ve chased opportunities that let me grow not just as a professional, but as a person. I’ve always been driven to learn more, take on challenges, and surround myself with people who make me better.I recently graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a degree in Business Administration, focusing on Marketing and Management, and a minor in History. Today, I work full-time at Charles Schwab as a Client Service & Support Representative through the Schwab Service Academy. In this role, I help clients with account-related needs, mentor new hires as they take their first steps in the industry, and continue preparing for my SIE, Series 7, and 63 licenses. Every day, I get to help people feel more confident and supported in their financial journey—and that’s something I take a lot of pride in.Outside of work, I serve as the Scholarship Chair on the Delta Chi Alumni Board of Trustees. Staying connected to the brotherhood that shaped so much of who I am today means the world to me. I’ve created and maintained a scholarship bank that helps brothers pursue their academic and personal goals—because I know firsthand how powerful it is when someone believes in your potential.At the end of the day, I’m someone who’s passionate about people, purpose, and making a difference—whether that’s through a conversation, a client call, or a legacy built one step at a time.

   In my current role as a CS & S Representative through the Schwab Service Academy, I continue to build on the hands-on experience I gained during my internship. I work directly with clients to support their account needs while also serving as a mentor to new employees entering the financial services industry.My responsibilities include:• Assisting clients with questions related to accounts, transactions, and investment options, while ensuring accurate and timely service.• Supporting onboarding efforts by helping new hires learn Schwab systems, set up applications, and take their first client calls.• Providing guidance to peers and acting as a resource for those new to the industry.• Utilizing Schwab’s platforms and tools to manage account documentation and support operational tasks.• Engaging in continuous training and development as I work toward my SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 licenses.This role has allowed me to strengthen my communication skills, deepen my understanding of the financial industry, and grow into a leadership-oriented professional focused on delivering excellent client service.
