Working within a national energy company’s strategic ambition and National future energy needs to enhance structure and oversight to long term strategic development projects. The PMO office concept was implemented to provide enhanced assurance and visibility by creating a framework that enabled frictionless data visibility and performance confidence via an aligned and agreed governance structure. As PMO the design and implementation of Governance forums, program overview plans (POAP), risk and dependencies management, strategic milestone and sanction identification and associated operation processes were aligned to wider business objectives and ways of working to provide and integrated and collaborative assurance regime. Governance enhancement enabled more timely, accurate and successful sanction engagements, clearer understanding of areas of success and improved decision making.
