ABOUT GAVIN PAUL
I am a recent graduate from the University of Georgia, earning a B.S. in Biology. With an interest in biomedical/pharmaceutical research, I am always looking for ways to broaden my knowledge on cutting-edge research techniques and advancements. During my time at UGA, I worked for two years as an undergraduate research assistant in Dr. Balázs Rada\'s laboratory for neutrophil biology and mucosal innate immunity. The lab takes an immunological approach to studying the pathogeneses of respiratory diseases by researching methods to treat infection caused by various respiratory pathogens. My specific project was related to researching pathogens related to Cystic Fibrosis lung disease. I am passionate about continuing to advance my knowledge in the field of medicine by seeking new opportunities to learn by attending various research conferences. I enjoy sharing my lab findings with others and fostering collaboration amongst others in the scientific community. My commitment to research has been recognized through awards and grants given to me by my university.
