ABOUT GAVIN MUIR

It’s all about the people.Teams have always played an important part in my life; working hard to join them, being a member of them, building and growing them, supporting them and seeing the people in them flourish. My career has rather mirrored this, culminating in the opportunity to Head of Retail for Boots in recent years. The opportunity to have a bigger influence and be able to nurture more people in their hearing journey – although indirectly – has been a massive influence in my career choices thus far.I now find myself on a new pathway with a business development role, which is a different challenge altogether. Why would I not run towards this role though? It may take me from the team environment I am comfortable in but it presents an exciting opportunity to use years of experience helping guide and provide solutions in a changing and challenging environment. It is still about the people, the relationships and the teamwork, it is making me even more aware, more creative, and more solution focused.When I’m not working I love spending time golfing and watching football which are a couple of obsessions that may sometimes, depending on who’s opinion you’re listening to, take too much time away from the Home Team – if you know what I’m saying! In saying that, family is the rock that it is all built on.
