I know this role is perfect for me because I love helping others to see more success than they could have ever dreamed of. Working as a franchise operator at Student Works has helped me grow tremendously, and become a person that I am proud to be. I expect that with lots of hard work and dedication to be able to provide all of my future operators the same experience.

Student, Business Owner, Life-Long LearnerHello, my name is Gavin Harper. I am BBA Alumni of the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University with a concentration in entrepreneurship and innovation. Outside of school, I am a business coach at Student Works Painting and help to coach and train franchisees as they operate their business for the first time. After six years of operating my own franchise, I can say that this opportunity has truly changed my life, and transformed me into a more outgoing, confident, and goal-oriented version of myself. This in turn has helped me strive to become the person I always wanted to be and has brought me a sense of satisfaction. I look forward to providing this fantastic opportunity to many other young people who are exactly where I was when I started this program. In my personal life, I enjoy learning and expanding my thinking by reading, continuing my study of music, and seeking out friendships with people who are interesting and different from me. I constantly strive to learn new things and discover multiple ways of tackling a problem.
