   In 2009, a second company, what is now known as Logix Biosciences, launched. Initially, the vision was to bring a medical grade manuka honey to the health store industry as a wellness product. The manuka honey industry was food based, yet selling a highly medicinal product with no health claims. Gavin found this contradiction and invited Brett Edmonds, an old school friend, to join as a co-founder. Together they determined this magical manuka honey needed to be packed and used in proper delivery mechanisms instead of the food brands method, honey in a pot.
