About Gavin Blackett
Hello, my name is Gavin Blackett. I am currently a senior at Utah State University completing my BS in Planning and Design Technologies with a minor in Landscape Architecture. My CAD journey began in high school where we designed and 3D printed parts using a similar software to SolidWorks. From this I fell in love with 2D and 3D design software. The Planning and Design Technologies program is a new addition by Utah State University catalog and I feel as though it bridges gaps between multiple disciplines including landscape architecture, interior design, and civil engineering. This has allowed me to indulge myself in a variety of software used in different stages of each discipline\'s workflow. These processes include things like rendering, construction documents, site layout, graphic design and part design. I\'m currently employed at the local Old Navy working mainly as a top performing cashier providing excellent customer service and securing credit card applications.
