ABOUT GAUTAM MUNDEWADI

Hi! My name is Gautam Mundewadi, I’m currently a rising senior studying computer science at the University of California, Santa Barbara. I’m excited to announce that I’ll be interning at Facebook this summer as a Software Engineering Intern. Last summer, I worked as Software Engineering Intern at Microsoft on the Azure File Sync team. Over the span of 12 weeks, I implemented DNS resolution, network latency, and bandwidth measurements into a network connectivity test suite–providing customers insight into the strength of their connection to Azure Storage. In addition, I previously worked as a Software Engineering intern at Coseer where I built a full-stack web application that aggregates positive news using neural networks. In addition, during both my junior and senior year of highschool, I was a software engineering intern at Infoblox’s Bangalore location where I worked with industry standard tools for bug tracking and re-tooled the user interface of Infoblox’s virtual applications. I applied the skills I learned as a software engineering intern to help build Easy Convert–an iOS application that uses optical character recognition technology to allow users to quickly scan barcodes and make quick currency conversions. Outside of my technical background, I’ve been participating in hackathons–mostly working with tools I am unfamiliar with to challenge myself. In my free time, I LOVE to paint and have founded an art community with over 250 followers around my original handmade acrylic paintings.
