ABOUT GAURI KASBEKAR-SHAH

I have worked in energy and infrastructure project financings for the past almost 20 years. My strong financing and structuring skills are underpinned by comprehensive and thorough analysis. I enjoy structuring projects and working together with a range of counterparties to deliver a successful financing often within challenging timelines. Over the last few years my focus has also been on renewables projects and I am familiar with structuring deals across all technologies in this field from onshore wind, offshore wind, solar, EfW, biomass, AD, hydro etc. I also have a strong background in thermal financings including CCGTs. My new, exciting role at EdR gives me the opportunity to invest in projects across a wide range of jurisdictions and sectors to aid the energy transition. I will be involved across asset management including fund raising, reporting and ensuring a strong relationship with our investors. As a specialist in my sector I am engaged in thought leadership through speaking on panels and contributing to articles in areas such as renewables. As a senior member of the team at EDRAM I also feel strongly about my role in growing internal talent and providing training for them. This is well complimented by my role as Governor at the London School of Economics and Political Sciences. I also sit on the Alumni Committee for my alma mater.
