Developed several Spark SQL applications and created POCs to migrate Python ETL data pipelines from on-prem clusters and EC2 servers to AWS EMR and Glue. Worked extensively on migration projects from Base SAS to python using scientific python libraries including numpy, scipy and pandas gave me a good exposure of handling large and complex data in SAS as well as Python and processing large datasets from Oracle DB using cx_Oracle in python. Involved in schema design decisions for facts and dimension tables to be created in the redshift data warehouse. Created AWS Glue ETL scripts to run periodically for change data capture in Postgres RDS and AWS S3. Shifted on-premise servers to cloud environment while changing a monolithic application to serverless architecture using AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, Elasticache and Route53. Created the AWS Code pipeline, AWS Code Commit, AWS Code Build and AWS Code Deploy services to build and deployment process. Wrote multiple AWS Lambda functions in Python to implement the business logic for rest API endpoints served by API Gateway.
