ABOUT GAURAV TAMOTIA

I lead the SAP business for GDS at EY.Previously, I led the P&L for the SAP business at IBM Consulting in the Asia Pacific region.Prior to that, I was the global lead for strategic partnerships for all delivery centres at IBM Consulting. I believe that organizations cannot be successful unless they embrace a culture of partnerships and IBM had established a new business unit to adopt this new way of doing business. As the global head of one of IBM’s largest client relationships in the Consumer Industry in my previous assignment, I successfully turned around the business and set it on the path of growth. This was made possible by embracing digital transformation programs boldly, be it Automation, Blockchain and IOT while at the same time continuing to build on success in core business around technology and process transformation.A common theme that has stayed with me is leading and shaping large transformation engagements which deliver sustained outcomes across multiple dimensions. I like “doing the new”, enjoy scaling new ideas, delivering transformative programs and challenging the status quo.This has led to a widely diverse set of roles, responsibilities and experiences. In the past decade, this has meant leading the strategy function for IBM’s Global Delivery organisation, leading a member strong delivery organization, and running the P&L for one of IBM’s largest services clients globally and doubling the business.In my two decades of consulting experience, I have had the opportunity to operate in diverse cultures, manage large global teams and run global businesses. In doing so, I have seen how technology is changing the World and I believe the best is yet to come.
